Abstract
We present a 2D flux transport dynamo model for the Sun, including the effects of differential rotation, meridional flow, turbulent diffusion and pumping, flux removal from the base of the convection zone, and realistic flux emergence properties to calculate the source for the poloidal field. The model provides a test platform for simulations investigating saturation properties and cycle fluctuations of solar and stellar dynamos.
