Abstract
TITLE OF THE ABSTRACT : SOLAR ENERGY AUTHOR : Dr.Paniveni Udayashankar In the three publications (Paniveni et al. ,2002, 2004, 2005), we report on the interrelationships amongst supergranular parameters such as Length (L), Lifetime (T), horizontal flow velocity (vh), Area (A) and Perimeter (P) which can shed light on the convective heat throughput from the Sun. The Sun is most active during the years of Sunspot maxima pouring the greatest amount of energy and radiation into earth's environment. Harnessing of solar energy faces a period of development, trial and error until a proper formula for its economic utilization has been found. We have to learn to most effectively collect, store and convert solar energy. Solar Physicists and Heliotechnologists are faced with the challenge of exploitation of solar energy for the use of mankind which will be taken up on an increasing scale in the course of next few years.
