Observational and theoretical research on the physics of the sun is carried out at Stanford University in several research groups. This page links to the projects carried out by a group of scientists and supporting staff associated with the Center for Space Science and Astrophysics (CSSA) and the Hansen Exerimental Physics Laboratories (HEPL) , under the direction of Philip Scherrer (HEPL and the Department of Physics ).

SOI Problem Report Pages:

• SSC Software Trouble Reports
  SSSC Software Trouble Reports (SSTRs) are used to document problems with SSSC web pages, executables, library functions, and production processes.
• SSSC Sys Admin Tasks Reports
  SSSC Sys Admin Tasks (SAT) are intended to document hardware and software procedures of a system administration nature, such as, h/w upgrades or modifications, s/w installation and licences, workstation configurations, etc.
• SOI Anomaly Reports
  This is designed to be a general purpose capture mechanism for any type of SOI anomaly (instrument, software, data, etc.). The primary purpose is to record known problems with MDI data products.
